Lucia Schmidt is a German animation director and motion designer based in Paris, working mainly with moving image as a mixed medium: she combines techniques of cutout, digital animation, collage, stop motion and projection mapping into film and installation work, or as part of live performances.
A graduate of Weimar’s Bauhaus University in Visual Communication and Media Arts & Design, she has participated in various projects and exhibitions in Weimar and she is also involved in teaching activities focused on the transmission of tools of artistic expression to new audiences, for instance leading animation workshops for non-professionals in collaboration with Werk-Stadt-Schloss in Wolfsburg.
